Selling Made Easy
You can sell almost anything through Squarespace, but how you set it up depends on what you're offering. This guide breaks down each method so you can confidently start selling physical products, digital goods, services, memberships, courses, appointments, and more.
Setting Up Your Payment Processor(s)
Before anything else, connect a payment processor under Settings → Payments. Options include:
Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe): Accepts credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Afterpay/Clearpay, Link by Stripe.
PayPal: Offers global coverage and buyer protections.
Square: Enables in-person sales through Square’s POS app and card reader.
Once connected, you’ll be able to control tax rates, accepted currencies, and payment rules across your site.
Products & Services
Create a Store Page to sell: physical products, services, digital downloads, gift cards and subscriptions.
How to Add Products:
Go to Pages → Add a Store Page, then click + Add Product, or use the Products panel on the main menu.
Choose your product type and fill in the details: images, description, pricing, stock, variants, shipping, etc.
Store Management Tools:
Store management in Squarespace gives you everything you need to run a smooth online shop. You can track inventory with low stock alerts, offer product variants like sizes or colors, and set up shipping, pickup, or local delivery. Checkout can be customized with newsletter signups, custom forms, and clear store policies for refunds, privacy, and shipping. You can create discount codes, allow customers accounts for faster repeat orders, and even enable product reviews through third party extensions. Tools like waitlists and related products help boost sales, and you can expand your reach by selling on Facebook or Google Shopping. Squarespace also connects with print on demand partners like Printful for custom merch, lets you customize product URLs, and automatically sends customers order confirmations and shipping updates to keep everything running smoothly.
In-Person Selling
With a connected Square account, you can sell products face-to-face using Square’s app and card reader. All inventory stays synced with your Store page.
Invoicing
In the Invoices panel, you can bill clients for custom services or offers.
Create:
Invoices: One-time charges with your logo and custom message
Recurring invoices: Auto-send on a schedule
Paylinks: Instant payment links you can share
Estimates and Proposals: Allow clients to review and approve terms
Contracts: Add a terms section for signatures
Projects: Organize multiple invoices under one client or service

Within the Content & Memberships section, you can sell access to digital content like: Courses, Video libraries, Blogs or private member posts, Sales pages, Member sites, and Pricing plans (one-time, recurring, or free access).
Each type includes gated content, the ability to drip content over time, and member-only email automation. Use this tool to build a paid community, run a digital subscription, or offer training.
